A community leader, Engr. Oluchukwu Uzor has commended the Umunneochi Constituency member in the Abia State House of Assembly, Hon. Matthias Umeh for establishing the Umunneochi Constituency Project Committee (UCPC).
In a commendation letter addressed to the honourable member and sighted by our correspondent, Engr. Uzor described the initiative as a testament to the lawmaker’s commitment and dedication towards the development and well-being of Umunneochi LGA.
Citing information credited to the National Orientation Agency, Engr. Uzor quoted: “Constituency Projects are critical to national development as they are one of the means by which the Federal Government intends to take development to every part of the country through the active involvement of the Distinguished Senators and Honourable Members of the National Assembly.”
“By extension, I believe that the same applies at the state level, and I appreciate your transparent approach to setting up a medium for managing the projects. Kudos!” Uzor said.
He stated that the committee’s creation marks a significant step towards more organised and impactful constituency projects, which will undoubtedly benefit the citizens and residents of Umunneochi LGA.
Furthermore, he expressed gratitude to the Honourable Commissioner for Lands, Mr. Chaka Chukwumerije; the Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Umunneochi LGA, and all the key stakeholders who attended the event for their invaluable support.
“In particular, I appreciate the Hon Commissioner’s allusion to “unity of purpose and result-oriented” and the Hon. House member’s comment on “Governor Otti’s quality.” I can relate to both statements very well because I come from a school of life known for results delivery and quality—Shell spec!
“If I understand you correctly, you mean genuine unity and that Umunneochi will not accept substandard delivery in the name of projects by the team. Your continued oversight collaboration will be invaluable in laying the groundwork for the success of these projects and their widespread and quality execution across the LGA,” Uzor said.
As the Umunneochi Constituency Project Committee embarks on this significant mission, Engr. Uzor encouraged the lawmaker to work closely with the Umunneochi Mayor and his team to identify critical areas of improvement within the Umunneochi Development Plan (UDP) which he and 18 other notable Umunneochi professionals at home and in the diaspora crafted for the LGA.
According to him, “By aligning the committee’s efforts with the broader development goals of our LGA, we can enhance the effectiveness and reach of the projects supported by the Honourable Member.
“As you embark on this mission, remember this: Proper project management framework (processes) and communication are essential to ensuring quality project delivery—consistently letting people know what is going on, when, and where.
“Together, through strategic collaboration and dedicated effort, we can drive meaningful progress and create lasting positive change for all the citizens and residents of Umunneochi.”
