The Executive Chairman of Umunneochi Local Government Area, Chief Sunny Nduka Afurobi (Obidike Isuochi), on behalf of the good people of Umunneochi, has extended heartfelt birthday wishes to His Excellency, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, OFR, as he celebrates his 60th birthday.
Describing Governor Otti as a visionary leader, reformer, and statesman, Chief Afurobi highlighted the Governor’s exceptional contributions to the socio-economic development of Abia State.
Reflecting on his six decades of impact, he commended the Governor’s stellar achievements in both the private and public sectors, emphasizing his illustrious banking career and transformative leadership in governance.
“Since assuming office as the Executive Governor of Abia State, Dr. Otti has spearheaded ground-breaking policies that have redefined the state’s progress. His administration’s commitment to infrastructural development, qualitative education, healthcare advancements, civil service reforms, and pensioners’ welfare have significantly improved the lives of Abians.
“One of his most notable achievements has been the restoration of security in Umunneochi LGA, a region previously plagued by incessant kidnappings and insecurity. Through strategic intervention, enhanced security deployment, and community collaboration, Governor Otti has restored peace and stability, enabling residents to move freely and conduct business without fear,” he said.
Chief Afurobi stated that under Governor Otti’s leadership, Abia State has witnessed an unprecedented infrastructural overhaul, with massive road construction and rehabilitation projects aimed at boosting economic activities.
“His dedication to improving education is evident in the enhanced learning environments, teacher training programs, and increased school enrollments. Additionally, the healthcare sector has experienced remarkable growth, with renovated hospitals, recruitment of medical personnel, and expanded health insurance schemes.
