Sunday Nduka Afurobi, a candidate for the Chairmanship of Umunneochi Local Government Area, has unveiled his vision for a prosperous future for the community ahead of the November 2, 2024 elections.
Afurobi, who hails from Mbala and has deep roots in Umunneochi, expressed his commitment to the welfare of the people as contained in a recent address.
He emphasized his longstanding dedication to the community, citing his successful career with a world-class company, where he created employment opportunities for many local residents.
“I have invested my life in service to Umunneochi, supporting educational and business initiatives and providing financial aid during the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Afurobi.
He shared anecdotes of his support for local businesses, including a project that equipped beer parlours with essential furniture and appliances, without seeking recognition.

Road Infrastructure: Upgrading and expanding road access, including potential tarring of key routes.
Cash Crop Development: Focus on local agriculture, particularly cashew nuts, cassava, and palm fruits, to boost the economy and create jobs.
Support for Farmers: Provision of high-yield seedlings to enhance agricultural productivity.
Youth Empowerment: Implementation of a comprehensive development plan addressing healthcare, education, and skills acquisition.
Afurobi committed to engaging with community members to understand their concerns about issues like hunger, education, health, and security, vowing to be a proactive and responsive leader.
“As we embark on this political journey together, I will prioritize listening to the grassroots and addressing their needs,” he stated.
He urged Umunneochi people to support his candidacy, promising that together, they can create a revitalized Umunneochi.
